Our club is playing our part in helping with the lives of those in Central America.  The Zacataloza, Nicaragua solar powered water project we supported with $5,000 USD is finally flowing! A report is available if you want specific details.  We should celebrate our involvement in this project that has made a significant difference in so many lives! The community of Zacataloza is located in the municipality of Ciudad Antigua, Nueva Segovia, Nicaragua. This community was founded in 2007 by eight families and has grown quickly to a population of almost 200 people. The families of Zacataloza subsist by farming and working in the coffee harvest with an annual cash income of less than $700. In 2015, Zacataloza was identified by our Nicaraguan partners as a community with both significant needs and capabilities.
