International Service Projects

Service Above Self is Rotary's principal motto, which means that every Rotarian is responsible for finding ways to improve the quality of life around the world through service.

The role of this committee is to develop and implement projects in accordance to Rotary International's main focus of areas of service that correspond to the RI Foundation's mission.

1  Peace and conflict prevention/resolution
2. Disease prevention and treatment
3. Water and sanitation
4. Maternal and child health
5. Basic education and literacy
6. Economic and community development

The committee is charged with assessing a situation, choosing a project, making a plan, taking action and evaluating success.

Some Past Projects:

-sponsored local students to study abroad and host a foreign student

-participated in Rotary International's quest to eradicate polio

-participated in Vocational Training Team selection and education
 

Current Projects:

 - water project in the Yucatan

-Providing funds for education of a young girl in Tanzania
