COMMUNITY AWARD FOR PEACE AND UNDERSTANDING 2014-2015

The GSA (Gay Straight Alliance) at General Amherst H.S. is the 2014-2015 recipient of the WINDSOR ST. CLAIR COMMUNITY AWARD FOR PEACE AND UNDERSTANDING. The club has been an active force for change in the school and the local community. The group is committed to being open-minded, accepting others, celebrating diversity, and treating others equally. The Rotary Club of Windsor St. Clair Community Award for Peace and Understanding is awarded annually to an organization that has made an outstanding to peace and conflict resolution. Receiving the $500 award on behalf of the school was TREVOR KLUNDERT who provided an overview of the group and their activities and what they have been involved in both within the school and in the community.
